Series: Demons of Hell #1
mistakes. For all of his pent up anger and frustrations.
So there are a couple different reasons I went to 5 stars instead of 4. First I want to say this is the first Elizabeth book I have read so I had nothing to go by before reading Scarred. And at some points I was almost ready to stop reading, then some I was crying, and at the end, I knew I had to give this book 5 stars. Not only due to the story but because of the emotional elements also.
At first, I want to say I was not too into Roxy. I mean yes I understand where she is coming from and where she is at. There is no one to help her, and nowhere where she can really go. When the MC club is so big that everywhere you would turn there would be someone to turn you back to the abusive man you just ran from.
Then you have Tex, the man that has supposedly been in love with Roxy for years. He has been watching her get beat the crap out of for years and has done nothing because Rage is his best friend. That bothered me. So when he finally has the guts to leave with her it doesn’t take long for these two to come out with their emotions and fears. We are eventually taken to Montana where Roxy has brothers in an up and up MC club. This is where we meet some wonderful new characters and Roxy comes out of her shell. She and Tex become part of a new MC club and now have to learn their own relationship.A lot of things happen in this book.
Again it is a lot of roller coasters and emotional upheaval but I really did enjoy it. That is what makes a good story in my thoughts. I am breathless to see what happens in the next book. I am sure it will be a hate/love relationship kind of like this one.
