Can she truly be the salvation for this ruthless heart?
I LOVED this story. There is just something about the way Dani writes that draws you in and doesn’t let you out until the very last word.
Callan and Madison are a forbidden couple. They should never be together in anything let alone in a sexual relationship. But both have dark needs and secrets. And maybe what they both need is each other. But the road ahead is not easy and will they be able to survive what is ahead?
This is a beautifully written story about pain, life, sex, and finally finding the love that is inside yourself and being able to show that love to someone else. Dani took some major issues in this book and brought it forward in this story. I loved how she wrote about it but didn’t make it the main event.
Another great story in this series.

“I was in a relationship with two men and neither were giving me up.”
That thought flashed through Charlotte’s brain like a bright neon light as she followed her husband out of her marriage counselor’s office.
The office where she’d sat twice a week as she tried to repair the glaring problems in her marriage.
The marriage that she’d fought hard to save to a man that wasn’t fighting alongside her. She’d been lied to, ignored and used as a pawn to climb his ladder to success. Charlotte was broken, not just her marriage.
But, then she met Dr. Montgomery and everything changed.
They say love is patient and kind of course, but what happens when that love comes at the cost of everything?
Love was a force that took no prisoners when it decided to strike and Charlotte had been hit—hard.
By a man that wasn’t her husband.
By the very man who was supposed to save her marriage.
I don’t read cheating and adultery books, they are one of my triggers for sure. But the plot of this book was intriguing and I couldn’t pass it up.
This book is told in Charley ‘s POV. Which at some points I found inconvenient, BUT I found there is a reason for it.
Charley is in a bad marriage. Nothing too traumatic, husband just ignores her, doesn’t want sex or children and so on. So she and her husband Matt are in therapy.
Enter the therapist Will. Will is supposed to get these two people back together. But he falls for Charley. And does the one thing he shouldn’t, he bangs his client.
So I enjoyed this book way more than I thought. But I have to say Charley was childish in some parts. She had a lot of growing up to do, and she sucks with making decisions. But once she finally decides, wow, she turned into a powerful woman.
This book has triggers. And ends on a cliffhanger. Surprise!
ABOUT Q.B. TYLER
Write. Wine. Work. Repeat.
A look inside the mind of a not so ex-party girl’s escape from her crazy life. Hailing from the Nation’s Capital, Q.B. Tyler, spends her days constructing her “happily ever afters” with a twist. Romantic comedies served with a side of smut and most importantly the love story that develops despite inconvenient circumstances.
I have read all of Ashley’s books. I really didn’t think she could surprise me after reading the [book:Blame It on the Shame: Complete Series|34626730]. That was a dark series and brought a lot of emotions forward good and bad.
Then you have the Duet [book:Complicated Hearts|33235918], [book:Complicated Hearts|34670193], which you should probably read before you read this story since you will get the beginning of Preston and Kit. But like Ashley does say you don’t HAVE to read them.
So on to this book, again holy shit. Preston is an asshole in the finest ways. He is a gambler a compulsive one at that. But he is a broken man and when a man is broken they do stupid shit.
Kit is beautiful in everything she does. But she has had a crappy life. But she wears her heart on her sleeves and will love with all her heart.
These two people have no reason to be in a relationship BUT they are and you have to read this book to find out why. I will not give anything away. But I will say that if there is one book you read this year it HAS TO BE THIS ONE!

Series: Heaven’s Rejects Volume 1 by Avelyn Paige Includes: Sins of the Father, Heaven Sent, Angels and Ashes 📖Review📖
So this is my first Avelyn Paige book and I have to say I really enjoyed it. This box set is the perfect way to wet your appetite. I love MC books and Avelyn does a great story.
Sins of the Father:
Starts us with a novella with how Raze becomes the president of the Heaven’s Rejects. Raze’s father is the president at the time, and this shows what is going on and how the Rejects fall and raise under Raze.
We jump ahead quite a bit with Heaven Sent. We go to Hero who is not in the first novella at all. So I was a little lost at first. We are introduced to a bunch of new characters and find that Raze is older and married. Hero is his VP and finds his love in this book.
Dani is that love. She moves to Cali from Ohio under suspicious circumstances. Of course, we don’t find out till later what it is.
I enjoyed Dani and Hero, their relationship is beautiful. They are both broken and in need of each other, even if they won’t admit it.
Angels and Ashes:
So this is where I get a little unconfused. This story is about Darcy (Jagger’s wife) and Raze. We get no real backstory on Raze and Maj, but we get enough. Maj is a psychotic bi*ch that is put to the side by Raze, due to some things that go on in the last book. But Darcy wants to know what happened to her husband. She is a strong old lady and she has children that she wants to be able to support and say that their daddy was a strong man. But what she finds out is so much more than she ever imagined. But will Raze be there to help her or destroy her little family?
I really enjoyed this story. It was great to see Darcy and Raze fall in love. Even though all the pain they cause each other, they find they’re happy ever after.
I would highly recommend this box set. I am happy to have read it. And I will be reading more!!
When I lied on my resume, I didn’t expect it to matter.
The first day was bad. The kids were the sporn of the devil
and I spied through a window and caught him doing something obscene….and
cabinet in my skimpy pyjamas and all hell broke loose.
chocolate…all of it.
I have never read TL Swan again but that is going to change right now. I really really enjoyed this story. It hit some social issues that are going on right now in the world but also brought a great love story to light.
Julian is an over the top father that cannot connect with his children. He really just doesn’t want to, to be honest. That is why he hires a nanny. Julian has a history with love that is horrible. He wants nothing to do with it and that really does include his children. He will give everything for them but show them, love.
Enter Brielle the new nanny. She isn’t like the last ones. She open, honest, fun, and full of love. Something these children need. But so does their father. Julian doesn’t know what to do with Brielle.
I loved watching this family become a family. Even when Julian fights it. He puts Brielle through hell a lot of the time. And what Willow has to go through breaks my heart. In the end, it all works out for the best, but man what a journey.
husband, children, words, chocolate and margaritas.
