Abigail lost everything overnight, including her identity!
The day Abigail finally has the courage to stand up for herself… she loses her job and the one person closest to her heart, her mother!
Despite her loss, she discovers the hidden truth about her family that leads to a dangerous journey away from West Virginia, to a new future ahead of her in England… to Wruin, a gorgeous man that Abigail is drawn to, even though she knows nothing about him and his ability to shift into a dragon.
The beginning of the book had so much potential, dragon, hidden woman, and so on- don’t want to give too much away. But then it kind of went a little sideways. There were more questions than answers, and the story came to the end very quickly. So yes I liked the beginning but I have mix feeling when it comes to the middle and ending. I voluntarily read an advance reader copy for my honest review

About Unseal Me
Returning for the summer to her rural home, pre-med student Joana “Jo” Mallory crashes into her teenage crush and elusive neighbor Colin Thompson.
Leaving on the spur of the moment after a family car crash that left Colin and his younger brother Jackson orphans, he joined the military and never looked back. Until now. In order to finance Jax’s Master’s degree, he has returned to dissolve his abandoned parent’s house, renovate and sell it. Or so it seems.
The once fun-loving and audacious Colin has changed in a way that re-ignites Jo’s attraction to him like a firestorm. He’s silent, brooding, mysterious and keeps to himself, but still bad luck seems to follow him where ever he goes.
After a sizzling one night stand, dumbfounded Jo ends up being blown off.
Believing that Colin simply suffers from PTSD after being the lone survivor of his team, Jo sets out to help him, just to learn a terrifying truth, that changes everything.
So this is my first D.S. Wrights and Lilith Dark story and going into it I had an open mind thank goodness because again I had no idea what I was in for. This book is interesting in a wonderful another worldly way. Jo and Colin have known each other for ages but have not seen each other. So when they find themselves in a bar Jo notices that Colin is just a little different.
This is a well-written story that I did not want to put down. I will diffidently read other stories from these authors. I voluntarily read an advance reader copy for my honest review.
An incubus who feeds off the sexual desires of others, Roth de Lis has never been denied the pleasure of a woman’s body…until now. Lilah, once a warrior maiden in the service of a goddess, languishes on earth after being cast out from the slopes of Mount Olympus.
Lilah will do anything to return home, including betraying Roth. As she spins her web of lies, Roth begins a slow, wicked seduction that eventually threatens to consume them both. But when Lilah’s deceit comes to light, will their torrid love affair be able to overcome a pact with the darkest of gods?
Author’s Note: This is a full-length fantasy romance.
When I started writing this review I was really conflicted because this is such a good book, it hits everything you could want in a paranormal romance. But anything I seem to come up with didn’t seem to hit the mark. So here is what I came up with after an hour of debate.
Incubus is the start of what is shaping up to be the start of a wonderful series. Roth and Lilah are an unexpected couple which to say it takes a long time for them to get there. This wonderful story takes you from Mount Olympus to our world, to Hell. Lilah and Roth are complicated beautifully written characters that bring the paranormal world to life. This is a must read! About Close Encounter of the Sexy Kind
Detective Ryan Winslet is a by-the-book kind of girl. The one and only time she allowed her personal feelings to cloud her judgement, the results were devastating. Now she’s getting a chance to make things right, but a certain sexy nightclub owner is muddying the waters.
Tiberius Maximus isn’t the first Aequorian prince to be exiled to Earth. Like his ancestors, he came, he saw, and he conquered. He’s vanquished his enemies, gained a fiercely loyal family, and runs an incredibly successful nightclub that might push a few legal human boundaries. The only thing he doesn’t have is the life mate he so desperately craves – until a salty blonde saunters into his club one night.
When the no-nonsense detective meets the exiled prince, their chemistry is off the intergalactic charts. Tiberius is convinced she’s the one for him, but Ryan’s not taking the bait. Sure, he’s über hot and seems like a great catch, but he’s also involved in some fishy business and thinks he’s from another planet.
Should she follow her head and throw him back? Or follow her instincts… and her heart… and jump into the deep end?
This is my first Annie Sander story. And I enjoyed the story line and the characters are strong. It’s nice to see a strong female character that equals the male.
In will be reading Abby again. I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy for my honest review.
Series: Vakarran Captives
Author: Sara Fields
Reading Source: ARC/PROMOTIONAL
Book 1: Conquered
Book 2: Mastered
Book 3: Abducted
Book 4: Ravaged
Book 1: Conquered
Book 2: Mastered
Book 3: Abducted
Book 4: Ravaged
They’ve conquered Earth. She’s next.
I’ve lived in hiding since the Vakarrans arrived, helping my band of human survivors evade the aliens who now rule our world with an iron fist. But my luck ran out.
Captured by four of their fiercest warriors, I know what comes next. They’ll make an example of me, to show how even the most defiant human can be broken, trained, and mastered.
I promise myself that I’ll prove them wrong, that I’ll never yield, even when I’m stripped bare, publicly shamed, and used in the most humiliating way possible.
But my body betrays me.
My will to resist falters as these brutes share me between the four of them and I can’t help but wonder if soon, they will conquer my heart…
Kira and her sister are hiding out from the aliens that have invaded Earth. She is a fighter, a rebel, and doesn’t take crap from anyone. Kira is very proud of the humans she has hidden and will do anything to protect them. So when she goes to help the woman running into one of her hidden traps she does it without thought to herself.
Zaavyr, Jax, Coltan, and Aedan are Vakarran warriors. They had been watching Kira from their spaceship and wanted her. So they set her up to get caught. They never knew that the little human would keep them on their toes. Or turn their hearts into mush.
I loved this story. Yes, it is full of steamy sex and four hot aliens. But it also has a great story and I can’t wait to see where it goes. This story does not end on a cliffhanger but remembers there are sisters. I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy for my honest review.
They captured her. They punished her. Now they will master her.
First the Vakarrans took my home. Then they took my sister. Now, they have taken me.
As a prisoner of four of their fiercest warriors, I know what fate awaits me. Humans who dare to fight back the way I did are not just punished, they are taught their place in ways so shameful I shudder to think about them.
The four huge, intimidating alien brutes who took me captive are going to claim me in every way possible, using me more thoroughly than I can imagine. I despise them, yet as they force one savage, shattering climax after another from my naked, quivering body, I cannot help but wonder if soon I will beg for them to master me completely.
Yes, this is the second book to this Vakarran Captives series, and I would say go ahead and read the first one since the woman are all connected by being sisters. But you don’t have to. I mean they do interconnect in some spots but you won’t lose the main parts of this book if you do skip the first book.
I enjoyed this story. I liked the first one a little better but not enough of a difference to take a star away. The ending is what made it a 5 star for me. I loved the ending. 🙂
Aliana is a strong-willed woman just like her sister Kira but she is also weakened because Kira kept her from doing any hard work out in the “real world” so when Kira goes missing Aliana has to step up and do what needs to be done. But when Aliana captures her first Vakarran she doesn’t take all the precautions she should have and gets herself captured.
Ryder, Morgn, Davon, and Aarom find themselves with a rogue sister of Kira’s and know that if their boss Nix gets a hold of her, she will never be the same again if she lives through his punishment. So while protecting her the best they can they also train her in submission and being a captive. But it isn’t all fun and games. Things get pretty dicey and lives are on the line.
Another great story by Sara and I can’t wait to see what else she has in store for us.
They found her. They took her. Now they will claim her.
When I left Earth behind to become a Celestial Mate, I was promised a perfect match. But four Vakarrans decided they wanted me, and Vakarrans don’t ask for what they want, they take it.
These fearsome, savagely sexy alien warriors don’t care what some computer program thinks would be best for me. They’ve claimed me as their mate, and soon they will claim my body.
I planned to resist, but after I was stripped bare and shamefully punished, they teased me until at last I pleaded for the climax I’d been so cruelly denied. When I broke, I broke completely. Now they are going to do absolutely anything they please with me, and I’m going to beg for all of it.
Mya and her family have escaped earth just when the Vakarran has invaded earth. Her family was rich enough to hide out in the Celestial Mates Dating Service all of these years. But now it is time for her and her sister to be matched. When Mya’s information is put into the machine a rare and unusual alien comes up. Not only is Mya surprised but so is everyone else. But no sooner does she meet her match, the ship is attacked.
Talor, Dex, Ejan, and Biran have been exiled for years. When they see Mya’s information go across the dating service they knew she was for them. So they take her. What happens next is a steamy, yummy, and really good story.
As always Sara brings a great story to life. I loved the ending and can’t wait to see where she brings us next
They rescued her. They tamed her. Now they will ravage her.
Though the aliens were the ones I always feared, it was my own kind who hurt me. Men took me captive, and it was four Vakarran warriors who saved me. But they don’t plan to set me free…
I belong to them now, and they intend to make me theirs more thoroughly than I can imagine.
They are the enemy, and first I try to fight, then I try to run. But as they punish me, claim me, and share me between them, it isn’t long before I am begging them to ravage me completely.
This is the 4th book in the Vakarran Captives series and each one gets better and better. Yes, you have the same theme in them. One woman and 4 men. But we are getting farther and farther into the Vakarran’s world. Sara took us into their world where they needed humans to make babies and keep their kind going. Vakarran’s had no other use for females.
Now they seem to want their humans for love, companionship, and to make a family. But the Vakarran men have a lot to prove to their females. So when Roan, Zac, Xandaar, and Taraik save Danika she doesn’t know that they are going to make her their mate.
Danika only knows the bad of these men. She knows that her sisters were caught and were never coming back. Now she is in the same spot. Will she stay with these men? Will she protect her last remaining free sister? Will she ever see her other sisters?
About Royally Screwed
Five Alpha males
One headstrong queen
An enemy old as the Universe…
I learned my fate on my eighteenth birthday, the day my father died and I became the virgin Queen.
The day my life changed forever.
The Lord of Darkness has risen. He means to conquer my kingdom and take me as his bride. But to succeed, he needs the power of the five Sacred Sources.
I must find the Fire Born. The one who shifts into a fearsome dragon. He’s come to me in dreams in his human form, stirring shameful, dark desires inside me. The prophecy says he will take me as his mate – and join with me to battle the Lord of Darkness, who has awakened from the spell cast on him a thousand years ago.
Then I must seek out the others. Five in all, each with his own special skill.
The Warrior. The Wizard. The Mystic. And last, the Rogue.
I must secure their protection, their allegiance, using whatever means necessary, whether it be to offer them riches or a title… or my body. A place in my bed as well as on the throne.
The Oracle says only by uniting with these five powerful men will I accomplish my mission. Avenge my father’s death – and save the World of the Seven Stars from an enemy as old as the Universe.
But she never warned me I’d fall in love.
Fire Born is the first book in the World of the Seven Stars, a hot, steamy fantasy series featuring five dominant heroes and one strong-willed heroine. It’s full of magic and mystery, shifters and sorcerers, action and adventure – but above all, it’s a love story.
So Fire Born is a really interesting start of a new series by Kallista Dane. It is was a slow go for me.
Melisandre is the newest queen over the land is now has to take over the curse that is now been activated since her father has passed. The first step is to find out what the curse is and who will help her.
There are five men that will help her get through this. But not only will they help her but she is to help them get through certain tasks also.
This story is strictly between Melisandre and the dragon Drayke, the others are mentioned and Melisandre is told what they will bring to the fight but we do not meet them yet.
I am excited to see where this series goes and how Kallista brings everyone together.
About Chaos Born
TWO DARK DOMINATING WARRIORS
WILL BATTLE ONE ANCIENT ENEMY.
AND I’M THE PRIZE.
The Lord of Darkness is determined to conquer our world – and claim me as his bride.
I once ruled the World of the Seven Stars as the Virgin Queen. But tonight I will kneel in shameful submission before two stern masters.
The Oracle says I’m fated to mate with them both. That only together can we defeat an enemy old as the Universe.
Two powerful warriors have agreed to join my fight. On one condition. They have dark desires of their own. Savage hungers. If I don’t obey their every command tonight, no matter how wicked – I’ll be punished.
Author’s Note: Chaos Born is a standalone novel in the World of the Seven Stars. It’s an MFM romance featuring two sexy Alpha males, one strong-willed queen, and lots of heat!
We start this book where we ended the last one. So you do have to read Fire Born first. In this one, we meet Magnus the Warrior.
Magnus has seen and done a lot in his short life. The Oracle has made sure that he is ready for this fight. Now that there are two out of the four Meli is learning more and more of her history and what is to come.
I am enjoying this series greatly. The story is strong and the heat is hot. I love it!!
Series: Dark Fantasy
Authors: Zoe Blake & Alta Hensley
Reading Source: PROMOTIONAL/ARC
Book 1: Snow and the Seven Huntsmen
Book 2: Red and Her Wolves
Book 3: Queen and the Kingsmen
Book 1: Snow and the Seven Huntsmen
Book 2: Red and Her Wolves
Book 3: Queen and the Kingsmen
About Snow and the Seven Huntsmen:
This is no fairytale…
They’ve been sent to break me.
Not one, but seven.
They plan to steal my beauty, my innocence.
Seven Hunters to track me down and claim me as theirs.
I try to run, but it is hopeless.
They have caught me.
I am their prey, their prize, to do with as they please.
But I will capture something far more precious… the Huntsmen’s hearts.
This is NOT your typical fairytale. I have read some other authors who have dipped into the fairytale realm and it has been a hit and miss. But Zoe and Alta have gone to the extreme with Snow and her huntsmen. I mean you have to know that one woman and 7 men are bound to be kinky and hot. but this was dirty. 🙂
Each huntsman has its own kink and needs that Snow has to meet. She doesn’t get a choice in the matter (almost to the point of rape) so if you have a trigger on that, you might want to watch it. The Huntsman use her stepmother as a way to keep her compliant. If you want to live you will do as I say kind of thing.
But eventually, the wicked step-mother does show up. Then what will happen to everyone’s happy ever after?
This is a hot, steamy, reverse harem fairytale that I loved! I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy for my honest review.
About Red and the Wolves
This is no fairytale…
As the Blood Moon rises, I’ve been chosen.
Chosen to serve, to obey…to die…for no one survives their time with the Wolves.
As I am dressed in the ceremonial Red Hood, all I can think of is escape.
But there is no escape.
The lives of my village depend on my submission to the accursed Wolves.
There are five of them.
Five men cursed to live as Wolves.
Cursed for generations, forced to protect my village from the dark forces.
But they demand a heavy price for their protection. Me.
Five against one…against me alone.
My only hope for survival is to tame the wolves…but submission is not in my nature.
Take the warnings to heart, this is not your normal fairytale! If you read the first story by Zoe and Alta “Snow and the Seven Huntsman” you know they love their fairytales dirty. Well, this one is no different. I loved this one. All the wolves are different and are in need of Red for their own reasons. It has been centuries since they have had a woman and they act like it. I don’t know if I should have felt sorry for her or jealous at some points while reading this story. This is a great addition to this series. I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy for my honest review.
About Queen and the Kingsmen
This is no fairytale…
Captured and imprisoned.
They seek to break my curse by breaking me.
They want to know what I did to Briar Rose, but I will never tell
And I will not submit, no matter what tortures they have planned.
I am stronger than the Kingsmen.
Not just one man, but four.
For I am the powerful and feared Queen.
My curse will stand.
So this is the third story from Zoe Blake and Alta Hensley in the Dark Fantasy Series (all standalone) and what a way to end it.
This one is an offshoot of Sleeping Beauty. We get Queen Zelladine who may not be as bad as everyone thought. Princess Briar Rose is in need of help and sometimes it takes a bad person to do what needs to be done. But now that Zelladine has done a bad thing, the Four Kingsmen are coming after her.
Zelladine is not afraid of anyone, let alone the Kingsmen. But the Kingsmen have magic up their sleeves also. But when Zelladine puts herself in danger will they come to her defense or will they let her leave?
Another great fairytale from these two. I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy for my honest review.
For generations, I have been the being who lurks in the dark. The one that feeds on the screams of pain and fear, cold sweats and the nightmares in which I cause. I am the monster you warned your children about.
No one can escape my clutches, no matter how hard they try; I show them who they truly are deep down.
Centuries ago, I was possessed by a creature of whom I had no name for. I was nothing but your average human, a man who was fighting for his king and slaying many monsters in his name. The next thing I knew, I became that monstrosity that I tried to eliminate every day of my life. In the matter of hours, everything had changed drastically. I was used to fighting the dark and suddenly the dark became part of me.
There is no reasoning for what I have become. I embrace it – embrace the hideousness of my appearance because no one is as grotesque as I.
I am bitter. I don’t want to be the man who surrounds myself in a cloak of shadows, of serpents and arachnids, of smoke and ghouls. I want to return to the glory days. If only it was that simple.
Throughout my entire life I have felt out of place, that is until one day I discovered a place where I didn’t feel like the outcast that others made me out to be. I didn’t feel ugly, sinister, or even dark compared to those who I surrounded myself with.
I was a human, or so I thought.
I didn’t know that only supernaturals could gain entry into Sanctuary, not until I walked through those doors and began speaking to the others. It’s name is exactly what it is – a Sanctuary for all supernaturals and paranormals regardless of beliefs. It was the one place we could all go to that wouldn’t result in bloodshed, agony or pain.
I have been here for years, becoming friends with the owner of this place and ultimately landing myself a job as a barmaid and having a warm place to rest my head. Still, I do not know what I am. I have talked to the others and they have told me stories of paranormals with great powers who have to wait to discover their abilities.
It seems I am one of these rare and far between. I only wish that things were simple, but I know better. Nothing was ever simple in this life.
I have to be honest. It took me a bit to get into this story. I was a bit confused when I first started with this story. Be warned that this book is written in 3 characters voices, so that took me by surprise. You have Jett, Darkness (who are the same person), and Haven. Jett is the human host to Darkness. Haven is a human or so she thinks.
Darkness knows what Haven is but all he wants to do is protect her, which is not something he has ever done before. Darkness is all about taking and never giving. So when he makes Jett start protecting her Jett is blown away.
Haven has always thought of herself as human. But when she shows up at Sanctuary she doesn’t know that it only lets supernaturals in. When she sees Jett from across the room she immediately feels a connection to him. But it is more the let’s get laid chemistry.
This book ends on a cliff BUT it is so worth your time to read!
Sometimes it takes two men to replace the love of your life.
Done mourning her lost love, Cassie sets off on a journey to find her future. Little did she suspect that the path to her future would start when she ran her car into a ditch.
Twin brothers Luke and Aidan are Eagle Canyon bred through and through, and that means they are looking for one woman to share their lives … and their bed.
Cassie allows herself one night with the two handsome cowboys.
But, after one night, will she be able to leave?
Not if Luke and Aidan have anything to say about it.
This is my first Celeste Jones book with a paranormal twist. And I really enjoyed it.
Cassie is still trying to get over her husband’s death after two years. When she finally realizes that if she doesn’t change something and fast she will die an old cat lady like person.
Luke and Aiden are twin brothers that have been looking for their mate. They are both in their thirties and are princes in need of a princess. Who would not want to be their mate? While that would be Cassie.
While these three get to know each other you get a real sense of the relationship building up. I enjoyed that. I mean the book is not really long. But for how the book is built you don’t feel like you are losing anything.
I can’t wait to read the next one. 🙂
About The Golden Line:
They call me brutal. They call me unrepentant. They call me possessive. I am all these things and much worse.
But to her, I will be conqueror.
The Golden Line is a dark, sinister Omegaverse romance for those with twisted tastes and a love for delicious villains. Complete power exchange dominates these pages, as does an attentive Alpha hero you will adore. This is a standalone novel set in a new universe.
I was not really sure what to expect with this story, not much information is given in the blurb. So you are kind of going in blind, which is okay for me, I don’t mind that at all.
So when I started this book I was a bit confused about what was going on. Not like I was dropped in the middle of a story but more like everything was going on at once and I needed to catch up. Once I did that it was a really really good book. However for that reason and for the cliff-hanger like ending I had to take a star away.
If you take away Morgaine and her emotional need for her mother, she is a very strong character. Because of her being hidden she is almost childlike when it comes to adult situations. So I can understand to a point why she is very connected to her mother.
Simin comes more into the middle of the book. He pretty much saves her and wants her for a mate. This man is a saint when he decides that she will be his mate a love forever. I loved him.
Great book and must read. I will say that it will be interesting to say where Addison takes the next book and where these two will end up in it.
About Guardians of the Fae:
One halfling female. Four Guardians. A dark secret that could destroy everything.
Paranormal detective Eve Carter knows things. She’s always had uncanny gut instincts. When a run of supernatural murders take place, Eve thinks she may be the only one who can save her once idyllic hometown from the dark threat.
What she doesn’t expect is four sexy Fae warriors to save her from a vampire attack.
Guardians Noah, Tyler, Jacob and Cole have spent centuries protecting the Fae, so when there is a breach of the veil between the realms, they are ordered to investigate the disturbance.
But what they find is something no one ever expected. A halfling, a human with the gift of the Fae.
Eve has vowed to put an end to those who are committing the murders, and persuades the warriors to become her protectors.
But as the Fae males try to shield Eve from the dark forces moving against her, they slowly begin to realize that the real horror might not be those who are committing the murders . . . but Eve herself.
I am in love with this new series. Elizabeth Hartwell brings you into the Fae world. You have three worlds, the Fae, demon, and earth. When the barrier starts getting weak the fae needs to find out why.
When they find out that there is a fae halfbreed on earth the fae queen sends her trusted warriors there to find and bring her to the fae realm. But when Tyler, Cole, Noah, and Jacob go to earth and meet Eve things change.
Eve is a strong woman. She is a paranormal detective. She is up to her head in vamps and demons and now she is surrounded by fae’s that she had no idea about. Not only that they tell her she is a half breed. She always assumed she was human.
This is a must read paranormal! I am excited to see what is next.
About Fate’s Fools
How do you find your soul mate if you’re born without a soul?
Deva Rainsong was meant to be nothing more than a vessel to house the enemy’s soul. Bred in a lab with a link to the enemy’s innocent human bloodline, she is a mix of all four higher races and the only creature of her kind. No one, not even her family, knows how she works, or what she is truly capable of. And now, with the death of the enemy in the last war, Deva has lost her purpose. Despite the deep connection she forms with five men along her journey, love without a soul can only be an empty affair. Deva refuses to bind any man to that meaningless existence.
Unclaimed, empty, and soulless, Deva has been left with nothing but a deep, cold longing for a love that Fate will never offer. So when Fate hounds begin hunting members of the bloodline, it becomes Deva’s personal quest to find out how to stop them. With her special link, and her five suitors in tow, she is in a singularly unique position. Together, the band of six will embark on a mission to uncover the secrets of bloodline souls, love, rogue Fate hounds, and the true extent of Deva’s powers…
Warning: This story is a standalone spinoff of Ophelia Bell’s epically sexy “Immortal Dragons” series. It is a fast-burn HOT and steamy RH odyssey, with some M/M content, not meant for the faint of heart (or libido)… #whychoose!
So Fate’s Fools is an offshoot of Ophelia’s Immortal Dragons series. I did read all of her Immortal Dragons books, so I can say that yes it does help to read those, you don’t really HAVE to. Ophelia covers how and why Deva is what and who she is and what is going on in Fate’s Fools.
Deva is hoping to find out why people with the bloodline are being hunted. While she is here she meets some people that might be able to help her do just that. But she also has to be careful. She is low on power and with what power she does have she isn’t used to using yet.
Rohan, Ozzie, Llyr, Keagan, and Bodhi’s are the men that are going to help her figure out what is going on. Each man brings her a special spark into her life she didn’t know she was missing. I loved that. These men are exactly what she needs when she needs them.
Another great book by Ophelia. Can’t wait for the next one!
